Neridah’s latest children's picture book KNOCKABOUT CRICKET is a beautifully illustrated narrative of the early life of legendary cricketer, Johnny Mullagh.

'The legendary Johnny Mullagh is one of the great characters of Australian cricket history. This wonderful children's book tells his amazing story and of his love of the game. I throughly enjoyed reading the book, as did my three cricket obsessed children!' --- James Sutherland, C.E.O Cricket Australia

Johnny Mullagh (born Unaarrimin) became a leading Victorian Cricketer and a skillful all-rounder who led the famous 1868 Aboriginal cricket tour of England.

He was one of Australia's first international cricket stars - eleven years before test cricket was born!

KNOCKABOUT CRICKET is a fictional account of how Johnny Mullagh may have come to play cricket, told from the perspective of a squatters son.

Illustrated by the talented Ainsley Walters, her vibrant and colourful artwork brings the story of KNOCKABOUT CRICKET truly alive.

Heartwarming and inspirational, this picture book is supported by historical facts about KNOCKABOUT CRICKET and Johnny's life from historical documents.
