‘Ponkidoodle' was my first children's picture book and was launched in November 2009. Ponki was llustrated by the talented Aaron Pocock and was published by Little Steps at New Frontier. Ponkidoodle sold out in his first month of sales and is now in his second re-print.
My second picture book is called 'Kick it to me!' and is being published by One Day Hill Publishing. This book is fully endorsed by the Australian Football League and is due out in March 2011. This story celebrates Marn Grook and Indigenous culture and I hope it goes a long way in helping junior Indigenous football development.
In September this year, I have a children's Chapter Book coming out for Collingwood Football Club called ‘Side by Side - In the Beginning'. This book is one of a trilogy about Collingwood Football Club's early history. I'm really proud of this story, as a Collingwood supporter and as a writer. The artwork, done by the talented Ainsley Walters is just wonderful. All proceeds from this book are going to the Collingwood Football Club Re-development of Victoria Park (our spiritual home).
